About

Michael Glezerson, a Serial business entrepreneur, is an emerging sculptor. He embarked on his artistic journey in 2022, demonstrating a remarkable talent and passion for sculpture despite having no prior background in the art form. Michael's father was a skilled motor mechanic and panel beater. Growing up surrounded by tools and witnessing the artistry involved in welding and metal work, Michael developed a fascination for these crafts.

It wasn't until the age of 60 that Michael decided to pursue a weekend hobby of sculpturing. His wife and children presented him with an inspiring gift, an 8 week sculpture course at the renowned Australian National Art School. This gift became the catalyst that propelled Michael's artistic potential.

Despite his late start in the art world, Michael's passion for sculpture is evident in every piece he creates. Each piece made from salvaged rusted, bent, and broken scrap steel offcuts. His work speaks volumes, conveying emotion and storytelling through his manipulation of metal. Michael's journey serves as an inspiration, reminding us that it is never too late to pursue our dreams, and that with the right support and opportunities, we can unlock our hidden talents and create extraordinary works of art. Michael comments on what makes art interesting “To recognize a good sculpture, the work-of- art must make the viewer pause, and delay the eye”.
